Fairport Convention

Hailed as the originators of British folk-rock music, Fairport Convention remains one of the most entertaining bands on today’s concert circuit. Their sell-out gigs always attract critical acclaim and delight audiences.

Fairport has a vast repertoire to draw on and this concert will mix old and new. As well as showcasing brand new songs from their recently-released studio album, the show will also feature a suite of songs celebrating the fortieth anniversary of their groundbreaking ‘folk opera’ Babbacombe Lee.

Young Dubliners

The Young Dubliners were founded in 1988 by Dublin natives Keith Roberts and Paul O’Toole. Their live shows had a jam-like appeal, similar to the vibes of Phish and the Dave Matthews Band, therefore, the band excelled.

The Young Dubliners spent most of 2001 touring Europe with Jethro Tull. They also performed at the 2002 Olympics ceremony in Salt Lake City, Utah. That same year, the Young Dubliners scaled back to a five-piece with Roberts, Holmes, the returning Waltz (violin) and newcomers Bob Boulding (guitar) and Dave Ingraham (drums).

Preachers Son

Preachers Son is the brainchild of Dubliner Brian Hogan. Grit-glam, blues tinged, swamp-rock featuring powerful vocals, slammin’ guitars and a driving rhythm section, dripping with drama and raw musicality.

Debut album "Love Life & Limb", mixed by Dave Bascombe in the Metropolis studios in London was released Oct 2010. In 2012 Preachers Son released single "Come On" and to date have enjoyed radio play on both Irish and UK national and regional radio stations.

solstice

' What a delight it is to welcome old friends Solstice back to the forefront of
progressive music’ - Classic Rock Presents Prog

Soaring violin and guitar weaving around delicately passionate female vocals, underpinned by driving rhythmic complexity - Solstice were an unlikely band to succeed in 1980s Britain. Yet because of their unique vision, audiences in search of an alternative to the shiny 'product’ of the music industry reveled in the band’s performances at all the major festivals and sell-out tours, on which they made the legendary Marquee club their home.
